How this changes your business
Every business is different. Turning off modules you don't use keeps the team focused. A dropshipper doesn't need Suppliers; a private-label brand does.
White-labelled CODBrain with your logo means customer-facing emails, invoices, and manifest sheets carry YOUR brand — professional trust, especially for wire-transfer requests.
Set the confirmation SLA, delivery rules, and currency once. As you scale from 20 to 2000 orders/day, none of this needs to change.
The 30 minutes you spend in Settings on day 1 saves hours every week for the life of the business. Best ROI hour you'll ever spend.
Getting started
- 1Fill in company profile, currency, and logo before you do anything else.
- 2Turn off any modules that don't apply to your business — keeps the UI clean.
- 3Connect at least one store + one delivery provider + one ad account.
- 4Set the confirmation SLA to match how fast your team can actually call (start at 4h, tighten to 1h as you scale).
- 5Configure notification channels — WhatsApp Business for urgent alerts is highly recommended.
- 6Set up webhook subscriptions if you have any external systems (dashboard, WMS, etc.).
- 7Review the settings quarterly — as your business grows, some knobs need re-tuning.
- 8Enable auto-backup exports if you're required to keep historical data (KSA compliance).
Common mistakes to avoid
- Skipping the currency picker. Once you have data, changing currency is confusing (values stay the same, only symbol flips).
- Not connecting a delivery provider. Every order becomes manual dispatch — kills productivity.
- Ignoring notification setup. Alerts you never see = alerts that don't exist.
- Never revisiting settings after month 1. Business needs change; your config should too.
Advanced tips
- Set your currency early. Every stored amount stays in your original currency — changing the currency changes the DISPLAY symbol only.
- Use per-user notification preferences to prevent alert fatigue — owners get all alerts, agents only their own.
- API keys with narrow scopes are safer than one super-key. Use one per external integration.
- Turn on data-export scheduling in year 2 — regulatory audits are easier when the backup is already there.
Set your currency early. Every stored amount stays in your original currency — changing the currency changes the DISPLAY symbol only. Get it right on day one and you'll never have a "is this MAD or SAR?" moment in your reports. Sellers who set it wrong at start have quarter-long confusion when they try to expand to a new market.
